In The Chaotic Murmur of an Unclear Destiny

This is a book of deep love, devotion, and respect for the author’s late wife of the author, and it can also be seen as a guide and practice for overcoming difficult situations in life. Exploring his inner self, especially the unconscious part, the author talks about emotional reactions in the modern, alienated world. Improvising his imagination, he talks about a microcosm, which can be anywhere, in which there are long-standing injustices that need to be dealt with. How?

Please read it, and protect yourself with knowledge, it will certainly not lead you astray and accept everything that life puts in front of you, be ready, and understand all sorrows, difficulties, and injustices as a game that you solve, so that you, not others, set limits for yourself. – Marina Denadic

Željko Vujovic seems to be moving in a silent sailing ship not far along the mainland and observes everything on the shore… He looks precisely at the long past time and presents it to the reader as if it happened now. Sometimes that coolheaded composure gives way to a slightly emotional subjective assessment. Then the character of the Anemic Director appeared who was “appointed to that position by the Hepatobiliary Surgeon who applies the knowledge of hepatobiliary surgery in the politics of the Microcosm, and the Hepatobiliary Surgeon was appointed to the position by the Tall Man Who Sees High Above the Microcosm.” That emotional assessment is contained in a mild edge of irony which only reinforces the image of society that we survived a long time ago…

Željko is the treasure of many generations before him… Sometimes he breaks into a biting caricature: The Running Pissing Man, but, that is a testimony of the times we lived in, maybe we forgot and it comes back to us again and again: bad students raise respectable professors. And those respectable “beat the stone” on Naked Island. “Why? For nothing.” Answers a stout old woman, carrying on her mare a full “carload” of grapes and figs, which she picked with her own hands and laboriously and intended for her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, pointing with her head to the house of Blažo Jovanovic, who, at that time, was cheering and dressing in Montenegro. – Dragan Perišic

Turtletoes: Following the Steps of An Angel

Life seems to always provide the experiences and people we each need for our development and maturity, even happiness. Turtletoes is about one of those people, a daughter born with birth defects, whose influence helped raise the author, her father, to become a better man than he could have on his own.
The book is about Tracy Purles, who was born with congenital heart disease and intellectual disability. Tracy endured being different. Physical, and mental challenges became a life-light for her family and friends. Her faith in God, determination to “be like everyone else,” resilience, and enjoyment of life’s little pleasures blessed the lives of her family and many others throughout her 20 years of life.
This is not a book about tragedy, but about the value and beauty of life, no matter at what level it must be lived. It is a story about how one little girl meets the challenge of staying alive with such faith, hope, and grace that her influence invites Heaven’s blessings for all. Her father writes that her passing from this life and going “Home” was one of the most spiritual experiences of his life. If you want an uplifting, “real world” experience that will touch your soul and invite you to thank God for your own life, read Turtletoes, Following the Steps of An Angel.

Solomon Levi MacKeefer: A Gypsy with a Very Great Heart

He was a gypsy, part of a gypsy band. His name was Solomon Levi Brown. His coming was not a part of his parents’ plans but was more of an example of the old saying that “accidents cause people.” As a consequence, he ended up as a child of the whole band of gypsies, dined with anyone handy, and slept wherever he could lay his head.
They called him Solly MacKeefer, and he started his life on a rough road. He learned compassion as a young boy as he watched a girl cry over her lost pet. He eventually found love with a beautiful gypsy woman, and they brought a child into the world. However, tragedy struck this happy family when they moved to Canada, and nothing was ever the same again.
Still, Solly persevered even after facing terrible loss. No matter how cruel the world, Solly refused to be the same. He found friends in unexpected places and even died a hero. At his funeral, crowds came from all around, proving that one man changed many lives. This is Solly’s story-a gypsy boy who grew into a man and left a legacy of kindness and love.
The author, having grave concerns that in the present situation, there is too much discrimination and persecution for the least fortunate of this world and because of his belief that the vast majority of the people as a whole are a kind and benevolent society and quick to respond to the plight of their fellow man. He has tried to show that in this story.
And we should all be reminded that someone once said: “and as ye shall do unto the least of my brethren likewise shall I do unto you”.

    The Big Secret : A Parent’s Treasure

Do you want to achieve a better life and higher promotions?
As a manufacturing plant supervisor, I was approached
by an engineer who asked me many questions about a
particular job he was interested in.
He asked several general questions, and our conversation
went on for months as he talked about his goal of earning
a promotion. I asked how long he had been trying to
accomplish his goal and he said he had worked on it for
    two years.
I bet him one hundred dollars that if he would apply my
secret methods, he would receive his promotion within
six weeks. I told him to think about what I had said and
    I walked off.
The very next day, he came to me and said he was
skeptical, but because he had learned a lot since he
started talking to me, he was willing to gamble. He said
he would take me up on my bet and I handed him my
materials to study, follow and apply to his future.
Five weeks later, he came back to me, glowing like a
    beacon, and filled with enthusiasm.
He thanked me repeatedly, with moisture in his eyes.
The expression on his face was priceless, and he
handed me a folded up “green back”. With excitement
and enthusiasm, he told me that he had received his
    promotion!
More than fourteen of my coworkers received their
promotions in record time, using the secret methods in
    this book!

The Ice Underneath: My Passage Through Loss and Faith: A Memoir

When Wanda Broach-Butts and her husband Ted were asked to take in a foster child-a 14-year-old named Aaron, being held in jail on shoplifting charges-they were ambivalent about saying yes. They had already raised four foster youth and had given back as much as they could. They wanted to enjoy each other in retirement with no distractions, perhaps even live out their dream of relocating to a Caribbean island.

But if they didn’t accept the teenager into their home, the agency said there was a good chance no one would, so Wanda and Ted said yes. They were told little about Aaron’s family history, but that had been the case with every young person they took in. They saw hints of the past in their habits and behaviors-just the tip of the iceberg, without really knowing what lay beneath. Yet this had never been a concern before, and besides, Aaron would be their last foster child.

The Ice Underneath is an unsparing account of Wanda’s passage through an unfathomable tragedy that tested, to the breaking point, her profound Christian faith. With introspective courage, she relentlessly examined and questioned what she thought she believed about herself and found strength in her family’s complex history of loss and redemption. This memoir is a testament not only to our capacity to endure the unimaginable, but to emerge from it with greater resilience and spiritual fortitude than we thought possible.

    The Arkansas Lawyer

The Arkansas Lawyer is a meticulously detailed account of one family’s long and frustrating sojourn through the loopholes, disappointments and deceits of a labyrinthine legal system, in innocent pursuit of an equitable estate disbursement according to their beloved uncle’s documented financial wishes. Anyone who has ever had to endure the injustice of our current court system, which focuses more on “what is legal” than “what is right,” will draw comfort from this well-written case in point. Beginning with a glimpse into the lives of a family the reader will come to truly care about, and moving on to an unintentional clerical error compounded by a corporation’s unscrupulous moves to cover their ass-ets, a well-intentioned lawyer’s early misunderstanding of a simple situational fix, the lower court judge’s careless findings, state Supreme Court efforts to countermand those rulings, monies unjustly obtained and devoured by greedy in-laws, and ultimately the whisking away of a large portion of an inheritance by an incomprehensibly self-serving attorney, this account is fast-paced and never dull. The story is backed with revealing email chains and court documents that will be of interest to laymen and legal professionals alike. Join The Arkansas Lawyer on a unique roller coaster ride through a prevalent and important aspect of our lives

    I Can’t Breathe!

I Can’t Breathe is a fictional novel set during the time when a video showing George Floyd’s final moments and his dying words, “I Can’t Breathe,” went viral. The novel depicts its global impact and how it empowered individuals to speak out against discrimination by organizing rallies and marches.

Khushboo, the novel’s main character and a lawyer, is empathetic to women’s concerns and helps many women who are trapped in abusive and suffocating relationships. The novel also briefly depicts racism in its various forms, including sexual harassment at work, negligence in care homes, and so on. Although most people face this, the story shows that some individuals are strong enough to deal with it, while some, like Aadrika, a sensitive and fragile woman, cannot. The novel is set against a backdrop of events in Khushboo and Aadrika’s lives, including how they are deceived, betrayed, and abandoned by Anil, her father, but even in the pit of darkness, there are hues of rainbow of love and hope that glimmer momentarily throughout the novel.

    Balkymor: The “Talipes” Effect

In 1997, a baby girl named Kelly was born in Sarnia, Ontario with two club feet. While still a baby, she went to the Montreal Shriner’s Hospital for twenty-three visits in eight months to surgically correct her condition. By the time she was six, she was running around freely.

Her Scottish grandfather had been born in 1938 with a left club foot. Knowing what his granddaughter faced through many medical procedures at a very young age, he collected together his writings about his life from early childhood through to a long and successful career and many international travels.

Told with love and humour, Balkymor follows the author through his childhood in Scotland during World War II, his youth, falling in love, marrying and moving them to Canada with no job prospects, little money and as much optimism as they could muster.

Balkymor is a heart-warming memoir of humour, strength, courage and faith in the face of pain, and a rapidly-changing world. It is about overcoming adversity with determination and resolve. It is also a story of love, family and adventure that will have you cheering for the Currie family.

Living Loved: Recognizing and Responding to God

Living Loved: Recognizing and Responding to God lets the reader into the private and intimate areas of the author’s heart and mind. Many writers, pastors, or spiritual leaders encourage others to let God into their lives by telling Bible stories, giving snippets of generalized accounts about their own or others’ experiences, and by sharing philosophical viewpoints. Although not a “how-to” book, Living Loved details one person’s coming to live in close, personal friendship with God. Author Laurice Shafer writes for the person who has wondered about someone else’s spiritual life, hoping to find encouragement for their own experience of God. She tells of God’s efforts to bring her into friendship with Him, describing it as it was…defects of character are acknowledged, God’s specific interventions described heart to heart communication between a woman and her God detailed, and healing and growth in human relationships explored. The hope that comes with experiencing God and His power to restore resounds in this book.

God Shall Wipe Away All Tears: A Mother’s Journal of Caregiving, Tragedy, and Hope

Readers will find insight, inspiration and strength from Colleen’s faith-based perspective on confronting difficult life problems. To those who have a loved one with an immunodeficiency, her story will show that you are not alone. Her non-sense chronology sheds light on very rare medical condition.”

    Ulrike Ziegner, M.D., PhD., Allergist/Immunologist

“Thank you for your wonderful book! Your insight into life and death, and your terrible experiences from which you have learned patience and understanding, will help us all to become better people.”

    Paula Bjornn, Registered Nurse

It was dusk as my husband and I entered the small cemetery to place flowers on the three graves-Jonathan, our firstborn son who died at eight months from a rare pneumonia; Michael, our violinist son who left us at age sixteen due to pancreatic cancer; and Seb, a loving son who trained hawks and suffered blindness and neurodegeneration after thirty years of immunodeficiency. As the sun set with crimson colors. I placed bright summer flowers on each grave. ‘Help me to do what I should do with my life,’ I said to my sons. It was clear what my path should be. I could not let their lives be lost in vain! I should write stories of struggle, love, and faith. “They are doing work now in heavenly spheres, and I must do mine while I still have time!” I said to myself. It all seemed so clear.

This powerful memoir describing Colleen Openshaw’s frequent encounters with illness and death will convey important insights when we experience these unwanted sorrows in our own lives. Losing her parents to cancer and old age, a sister in a car accident, her husband to organ failure and Alzheimer’s, as well as her three precious sons to hyper-IgM Syndrome-has given Colleen unusual understanding in facing end-of-life issues. Relying on her faith in God as well as her own grit and determination, her experience can give us a unique comprehension of how to confront these inevitable trials common to all mankind.

The Names of My Mothers is the touching story of the tender and all-too-brief relationship forged late in life between Dianne Riordan (nee Susanne Sanders) and her birth mother.
