    Kirk’s Poetry

I want to dedicate this book to my son Christopher, who joined the Lord

July 4th of 1996. He had cancer the age of 9, and was a fighter for 4 years.

He made everyone smile, and always kept us on our toes. He loved music

and going out for pizza. He also loved the Lord and proclaimed Him until his

death in 1996. He was a strong boy and always knew what was going on.

And he has been the inspiration for this book, he loved listening to my music

and loved all the different types of poems I wrote, whether Christian, love, or just

fun poems or songs. He was a big inspiration for my new Christian cd which is now available.

A young boy who didn’t really have a chance in life, but he enjoyed it to

the fullest. That’s why this book is about him, he was there and helped me with all that

was written in it, because he just plain enjoyed life, and he helped us to do the same.

I have some poems that are about Christopher in Chapter3..

We all love and miss you Christopher you were and still are a great inspiration

to all the people that your heart touched, which was many people,

We will meet you in heaven.

    God, Where Are My Muscles?

Bullying is a silent destroyer of healthy self-esteem. Sadly, it takes place in our schools and in our communities. Thus, we as adults need to be aware. Don’t think it doesn’t exist. It’s there in many fashions. Sometimes children won’t come right out and tell you. They feel they might get teased for tattling as well. Every parent probably has a child experiencing bullying. In general, every person probably knows a bully. Even in today’s times, children can still be cruel to each other. Although we have not yet determined the true root cause, we know it generates from three scenarios. It could come from children simply not obeying their parents. It could come from parents not training their child. It could come from not working together as a community helping to raise all children. Nonetheless, we can overcome all three. Buddy and Styles are just like any other children.

Buddy and Styles’ bullies are just like any other bullies. But God. But God. Buddy wants to overcome the fear and mental trauma that comes with bullying. His answer is to have muscles. Buddy dreamt that God had given him huge muscles to fight off the Wallaces. He fought them off single-handedly and Styles watched and cheered. When he got home, he and styles told their mom that the Wallaces were a problem but no more. No more. No more. What Buddy does not understand is that muscles from God can come in all forms. Buddy knows that God is indeed the miracle maker. So, he prays to God each day to please give him muscles. Buddy does get those muscles from God. Please read and see. You will be amazed at what God can do for those who believe.

Children Do Come With A Manual

We wrote this book as a companion to our book on parenting to; encourage parents and potential parents to daily use the Bible as a manual for the guidance and wisdom required in raising a child into a follower of Christ Jesus and a productive successful adult, as well as our manual for living a full, joyful and productive life while here on this earth in preparation for an eternal life with Him after his return.

A friend of mine told me that in his opinion the Bible is; Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, that has stuck in my mind, and I like that prospective even more as I unpack all of the information the scriptures reveal to me.

Unlike most manuals this one tells us how it all started, what the intent was, what happened to change things from the initial intent, our history of rebellion, and what will have to be done to restore both us and this earth to its intended state and purpose.

Like most manuals it is seldom opened until a problem arises and malfunctions occur. Th is manual is most useful when read on a daily basis and in preparation for all we plan to do instead of after we have done it. As a manual – the Bible is filled with promises from our Creator, guidelines, warnings, and examples to help us become the people we were created to be, it overflows with a historical review of His love, goodness, mercy, sacrifices and forgiveness as well as proofs of his desire to enjoy life long fellowship with us.

This manual is very comprehensive as it covers everything from what to eat to maximize our earthly body function, the importance of both work and rest, the value of a godly woman and the expected behavior of a godly man, what to look for in a mate and what to avoid, who to trust and how to know if you are being deceived. This manual tells us what is expected of us and what we can expect from our creator. I would encourage and challenge everyone to exhaustively explore all that the Bible has to offer.

    Words of the Broken

These are some things I wrote based on my personal experience from mental, verbal and emotional abuse.

Their victims suffer for years after it happened. In my opinion, they are the worst kinds of abuse.

They damage their victims in the worst way. The damage they cause cannot be seen by others and lasts for eternity.

    Time heals broken bones.

    Nothing heals a broken mind.

    Poems From Her Heart

This is the first book I have ever written. I am a housewife from Nebraska. A couple of these poems are about pets I have lost in the past two years. It’s a painful thing to lose a pet you loved as your own child. I cannot have kids. These poems are things in my life that mean a lot to me. I’m thinking of writing a short book of holiday poems. I’m nervous though. We’ll see how everyone likes this book first. I hope with all my heart that there are poems in this book that will touch your heart as they have mine.

    The Haunted House Kid

Alex Connelly’s parents are getting a divorce. To make matters worse, they have refused to let him use their garage this year for the haunted house he has put on since he was very young. Fortunately for Alex, he has been temporarily allowed to live with his adoring maternal grandmother, inadvertently gaining himself a new venue for his spooky hobby, his Grandma Ruth’s near-empty garage.

When Alex’s mom acting all kinds of weird, and Grandma Ruth is away from home all the time (because she’s managed to pass her driver’s license test, after several years without a license) and he starts to notice strange things going on during the construction of his “latest and greatest spook galley” stranger than normal, that is he considers scrapping the project entirely.

Yet…something is driving Alex to finish his haunted house at all cost! All he knows is that he has to get it finished by opening night just before Halloween!

Meanwhile, Alex left with a lot of free time to work alone and undisturbed in his grandmother’s garage is worried about his little sister, Maggie, being alone with his Mom who has begun acting very strangely and is gone from home most of the time. And his heart is breaking for his dad, who is sad and living across town in a lonely apartment. But, unbeknownst to Alex and the rest of the family, Grandma Ruth is trying desperately to find a way to keep her daughter, Allison, from embracing the family roots into witchcraft a tradition Grandma Ruth herself, has spent a lifetime trying to deny and from which she has always tried to protect her daughter.

Long lost relatives come out of the woodworks. Mythical monsters are being summoned from distant quarters of the earth. Everyone is worried about Alex too because of the strange way his mother is acting toward him, a well as for the strange way Alex, is acting.

But at least new friends offer comfort along the way.

Alex just hopes that somehow his haunted house is going to save his family!
