It was fantastic waking up in the same bed every morning, and then walking out of their RV to a new place, view, and new things to explore. Never knowing what they will discover in the new area. There were always so many things to see and do during their travels. But it was time to have a place to call home. With their “New Adventures” just over the horizon.

The Dragon Commons

DINGS
Price range: $3.99 through $19.99DINGS tells of a mother’s struggle to support her son in the midst of a mysterious condition. Conner’s school believes that he is not ready for promotion into the third grade. His teacher recommends that he repeat the second grade. Conner’s dad is on a combat tour in 2006-7 Iraq; the adults in the boy’s life assume that stress and anxiety about his father serving in a combat theater have interfered with his school achievement. Meanwhile, Sandra is embittered; she is forced to deal with her son’s problem alone.
A psychologist identifies Conner’s anxieties and works to alleviate the child’s stress. But, the boy’s actual condition eludes the adults. He has unrecognized blank outs-his friends think that he acts “weird” sometimes.
Sandra’s husband returns from war, but all is not well. He has changed. She recognizes PTSD symptoms-Sam drinks more, snaps at the family and he has bad dreams-yet, he denies that anything is wrong. Sandra’s emotional stresses mount. She sees that her husband is incapable of emotionally supporting her as they struggle to understand their son’s difficulties; she is uncertain that she can keep her family together.
One night, Conner gets a high fever and he has a convulsion. At the local E.R., he has a brain CT scan and he gets a spinal tap. The doctor suggests to the parents that epilepsy is a possible cause of the convulsion. He refers Conner to a neurologist. Sandra interprets the mere mention of epilepsy as a personal affront. How could her son have such a stigmatizing and debilitating disease? He has never had any seizures before.
All of their lives change when they meet the neurologist. When epilepsy is diagnosed, Conner’s mother is devastated. She questions if her child can be considered normal now-could he ever really lead a normal life?
The reader will accompany this family as they travel their fascinating joint clinical and emotional journey to help their son. Sixty million people worldwide, including three million Americans, are afflicted with epilepsy.
DINGS is fascinating and educational reading for anyone, and especially those touched directly or indirectly by this condition.

Water in the Belly
Price range: $3.99 through $19.99In this parody of all-knowing capitalism, Frank Holmes survived the stock market crash of 2008 by parody, forming a rock and roll band called the Cherry. He is Odysseus in his parody of Homer and Joyce. It’s PG-13. Parallel to this plot is the story of a spy, Butch Lautsky. It’s a spy novel parody defending the FBI.
Universal and evolutionary, the congress can be a lifeguard. Article I, section 10 of the US Constitutional Law is used to attempt to void state government regulations, not federal regulations.

Intertwined with the parody are thoughts about U.S. politics, religion, events, the constitution, the state of the world, congress, etc. Words such as “rebirth” and “zen” are mentioned quite a bit throughout the book. An excerpt from Water in the Belly that speaks to the mixture of story, thoughts, writing style, is: “Sherry’s religion is the Catholic Church. We need our mythodology to let us get a foothold on the world of Homer. The dead immortal God like Zeus. The Odyssey is the story of a man who spent 10 years at war and spent in years coming home, with references to The Iliad throughout the former classic by Homer. It’s all time, the tropes of history. For Public Policy.”
It is an intellectual maze to fully come to grasp with this extensive piece of literature. Perhaps there is more artistry and genius within than what appears on the surface. Water in the Belly will be of interest to Homer’s Odyssey enthusiasts, or perhaps it is just one person’s unique and untranslated thoughts about America and how a man in the 2008 recession era can be compared to Homer’s Odyssey. Regardless, D.L. Snow certainly deserves credit for his creativity and pursuit of such a difficult task as writing this unusual 500-page novel.

She will be found guilty and executed ten years later.
Real estate agent Phil Leclerc finds the Faith manuscript into the Zielgard’s house, send it to lawyer Morin that shows the piece to his friend Peter Artritis who works at Oracle publishing. Artritis will steal the material and publish it years later under his own name. Faith will prove a resounding success. Hollywood will make a movie out of it. Artritis will be invited to the David Letterman late show.
Meanwhile, Irma Sanchez will read FAITH and recognized herself, her mother and mother’s boyfriend in the book. Enough for her to conclude Artritis can’t have authored the tale. She gets herself invited in the show and will confront Artritis in front of an audience of million.
