Shelley McIntosh, EdD
Dr. Shelley McIntosh holds a doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Houston. Her studies and research focus on the social, spiritual, and academic development of Black children; the spiritual voices of teachers, effective literacy instruction for African Americans, and biblical history. Her dedication to self-determination and the well-being of children are candidly expressed in her books: Mtoto House: Vision to Victory-Raising African American Children Communally, Genesis II: The Re-Creation of Black People, and A Principal’s Tale-Life in 31 Days.
