Karen Griner Smith is a poet, children’s story writer, and Griot, educated at various universities. She retired from her roles as a librarian, social worker, and adjunct professor. Karen has traveled to 48 states and Ghana. She is also a mother of three adult sons and grandmother of four. She enjoys retirement, writing, performing poetry readings, creating art projects, and participating in community activities, particularly those benefiting the African American community.
