Jonah Fontenot

Born and raised in and around Los Angeles, California Jonah Fontenot learned at an early age that life is challenging and often unfair. Denied many of the basic entitlements most people take for granted such as moral support and an education, Jonah Fontenot had a long list of obstacles to overcome. At age 18 Jonah Fontenot walked out of his parents house with no money, car, or basic education. In time he found his way but not without a few scars. In his books, his story is told through powerful poetry.
