The book delves into just how the relatively un-historical storyline of the New Testament could be taken for a drama script, a spiritual excerpt, or at the very most an allegory for a metaphoric Christ. Any historicity around the Christ figure and the apostles in this work is secondary to the concept of the relationship between the Holy Spirit and the human soul. The text insists that more than at any other time a strong mystical stance to Christian practice is needed, and one based on the gift of prophecy and wisdom. Though largely ignored for almost twenty centuries, contemplative and intuitive mystical Christianity is essential and of paramount value to the serious and practical side of the Christian faith. The Author expresses that he supports Christian values but questions the dogma of Christianity.
