Chimezie Anosike was born in Biafra in 1965, a year before the events that precipitated the genocidal Biafran war. Just like every other child born in Biafra right about that time, the day-to-day living for parents was a rigor and life was uncertain. Death seemed more certain than survival due largely to starvation as a weapon of war. Having survived the war and starvation, and their attendant kwashiorkor he proceeded to elementary school in Abakuru where his parents pitched their tent even before the war. Life was a drudgery, and he was later taken to the big city of Onitsha by one of his elder brothers, Joe, where he completed both elementary and high school education.He holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics, and a master’s degree in international law and diplomacy from the University of Jos, Nigeria. He emigrated to the United States of America in 1998 where he enrolled and obtained another postgraduate degree in pharmacy at Texas Southern University in Houston.His first effort at storytelling is not published and remains a stillborn. He is married to beautiful and lovely, innate and eternal soulmate, Dr. Augusta Anosike, nee Ukaigwe, the bone of his bones, and they have four children. He hails from Umudurunna, Abba in Okigwe Province of Biafra. He holds an American citizenship, and they reside in Richmond, Texas.
