This memoir is based on forty-four years of dreams, visions, angels and demons that were manifested to me, my wife Jane, and other family members.
Of course, there were many days and nights when I experienced the “dark night of the soul,” where God seemed distant and my spiritual soul was dry and in need of the water that comes from Jesus. This book was started fifteen years ago but I stopped writing as it was not the time to do it as God had other things for me to learn. Then, in 2011 I had a brain stroke caused by a blood clot. I was not able to work as a teacher for six months and I was left with mild paralysis on my right side. God allowed the stroke to happen but also taught me to be thankful for each day as life itself is a miracle!
My prayer and hope for you is that you would take seriously the bible account of miracles in the four Gospels and in Luke’s account of the early church in the book of Acts in the New Testament.

From Blunder to Blessing
Price range: $3.99 through $13.99Born at the edge of an open-pit copper mine in New Mexico, Jan Thomas comes from a background of working-class people, cultural Christians, but not committed believers. Growing up, he had influences and experiences causing doubts about himself and his ability to become more than his environment would have predicted. Influenced by teachers, Air Force buddies, and others, he began to trust God to do in him what he could not do for himself. As a youngster he thought he had no academic ability, but got BA and MDiv degrees. As a pastor he felt like a failure and began a career working in prisons. Struggling with life, he continued to try to serve. He married Fern, a widow with two children, and they had another child together. He became an administrator after only a few years; but his codependent nature, the desire to fit in, and to be liked at any cost nearly cost him his life. An old alcohol issue came back, at a time he was involved in two of the most amazing ministries of the twenty-first century, Celebrate Recovery and Kairos. Retiring in 1997, he began using CR in the prison he retired from. He was asked to help get the program into jails and prisons and became the first national director of Celebrate Recovery Inside. Celebrate Recovery Inside stretches across the United States and Canada as well as in many nations elsewhere. His own struggles have helped him become dedicated to the purpose God intended for him from the beginning. His ministry was not as a pastor but to those, like him, who struggled with life’s issues. When he stopped teaching and started the healing process for himself, God helped him to stop blundering and begin to see more of God’s blessing. He also used material from a course he taught at the New Mexico Corrections Academy to develop a curriculum for Christian communication to be used in the program called: How to Say What You Mean: Without Being Mean. His life has been one of service to people who struggle and find real help and meaning from a relationship with Jesus Christ. His autobiography is called: From Blunder to Blessing.

God and Choice and Life or Death
Price range: $3.99 through $8.99I define this choice as an established, intangible mechanism at the core of our being, which our will for our lives through the spoken word of our mouths activates. This choice is sometimes ignored and/or unrecognized; however, it is always present and available to us. Its purpose is to deliver us (our spirit man) into the hands of freedom, a place within us where we are always safe, where we are sane, and where we recognize the greatness that is within us through Christ Jesus, our Lord. This is not the freedom of footloose, wild, and fancy free, but it is the freedom of kings and priests. Its freedom enables our responsible right to us. We understand that God is responsible and the only right (Deut. 32:4), and only through Him can anyone obtain rights. No one has the right or God on his side to do anything unless it is through Him. This is the basis of truth. In John 8:31-32, Jesus said, “If you continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” First, He instructs us to continue. We cannot pick up the Word of God and put it down with yet still the expectation of receiving what it says. Our continuance in the Word is the key to our forthcoming knowledge and revelation. Jesus said, “Then are ye my disciples indeed” Disciples are disciplined ones that recognize the order of God and will themselves to carry it out. These orders carried out are the physical evidence of the disciplined spirits, willed from the soul (mind). This is the order of God. When your spirit (heart) is disciplined toward God, your soul wills your body to follow through.

God-Moses-Me: Conversation With God

In the book of Exodus, God provides instructions in the Ten Commandments, sacrifices, the building of the tabernacle, and many other topics. In these conversations, God is giving Moses direction. Moses had forty years in the wilderness speaking with God. Apart from the directives, what might these friendly conversations be? Perhaps they were of a nature similar to those questions and discussions we might have with a friend about our faith. In the years I’ve had reading the Bible and in communion with others, many friends have asked me questions and I’ve asked God many questions as well, such as, “If God were so loving, why does he allow so much suffering in the world?” or “Why do bad things happen to good people?” Rather than search scripture to seek answers, many dismiss the faith. Indeed, we are told that scripture holds the answers to many of our questions but there is no index in the Bible where we can look up our questions. Rather, it is in the study and knowledge of God gained from daily reading and meditation that we can truly find answers.
This book is intended to serve several purposes. The first is to illustrate that truly, the Bible is the source for answers to our questions and to show how it can be used. Secondly, many Christians have little knowledge of the Old Testament so taking the questions from the viewpoint of Moses exposes us to the life at that time but also illustrates the many rich traditions and meanings referenced in the New Testament. Third, Moses is a pillar of the faith and worthy of study on his own because he was a unique and blessed person.
