Pony Ride to an Awakening: The Journey of a Mystic
$3.99 – $9.99Price range: $3.99 through $9.99We are closest to the Spirit at the beginning of our life, just entering incarnation from the Spirit, and at the end of our life, as we prepare to return to the Spirit. Along the way, encounters of an otherworldly kind happen to many people; by sharing them, we can find similarities among us and trust that these events are real and not imagined.
In Pony Ride to an Awakening, author Hedin E. Daubenspeck described spiritual episodes from early childhood, adolescence, early adulthood, maturity, retirement unto renunciation, and then consciousness beyond death. He presents some of his psychic experience and a few stories of his friends and family in the hope that they serve as a guide for those seeking spiritual awareness. We come from the Spirit and will return to the Spirit. There is nothing to fear from our teachers and ancestors in communicating with the Spirit to give us guidance, answer, wisdom, and vision in this often difficult earthly life experience. As we unfold our development going forward with open eyes and mind, we find that the truth unfolds and becomes more refined, like a lotus flower.
Building on personal narratives, this guide to spiritual awareness considers psychic experiences, intuition in daily life, and the mystical inner journey that can lead to self-realization.

Remembering ZEOLA
$3.99 – $9.99Price range: $3.99 through $9.99The stories Zeola told about herself show aspects of her character that was budding at age four and five, for example learning to clean and care for her home and to beautify it. After marriage, she expressed her love for husband and children as she labored daily to take care of them. Preparing three meals daily, washing and cleaning as well as teaching and training her children to work and care for the home are all expressions of her love without using words. She loved her home and cultivated many flowers and trees on the outside. She worked hard to clean and beautify the home on the inside too. For example, she made curtains for the windows and doilies for many tabletops, cushions for chairs and tablecloths for tables. She and Brenda partnered to make quilts and bedspreads for the beds. The church and community were very important to her, and she gave herself to teaching children in Sunday School classes. She loved to sing and worked with the children’s choir at church for many years. Her devotion to Jesus Christ was shown in the zeal with which she took on tasks such as tending to the sick about her and helping those who were in some kind of need. Many of the examples I recount bring to light her service to others. She persisted in the face of multiple trials and afflictions; always getting up and trying again without giving up under their weight. When I began to think about her legacy, I rejoice as I look back over her life and realize that she developed enduring faith and Christian character through all of these things. She chose not to grow bitter because of them, but to submit to God’s will and to press toward victory that would someday be hers.

Sins Of A Mulatto Outcast: An 18-Hole Wayward Identity Quest: 2nd Edition Round 1
$3.99 – $13.99Price range: $3.99 through $13.99Homer grows up knowing he looks different than most kids in his neighborhood. Although both his parents are African American, his appearance more closely resembles a Caucasian. As he struggles to fit in with others in his African American race, Homer faces prejudice and bullying by those who brand him “the white kid,” until he decides to fight back, transforming himself and his attitude forever. On his wayward journey to removing himself from his surroundings, Homer feels his looks are a curse which sets off a series of horrific events that test all his emotions. To others it seems as though Homer has been given all the keys to unlock the American Dream. Unfortunately, they are unaware of his sins as a youth. As Homer relives his experiences, joys, and challenges through the metaphorical structure of eighteen holes of golf, he shines a light on his determined quest to overcome his outcast label, accept his mixed heritage, seek forgiveness, and-more importantly-love himself. Sins of a Mulatto Outcast tells the compelling tale of one man’s struggles to embrace his uniqueness in order to achieve happiness in life.
