The novel is set against a backdrop of events in Khushboo and Aadrika’s lives, including how they are deceived, betrayed, and abandoned by Anil, her father, but even in the pit of darkness, there are hues of rainbow of love and hope that glimmer momentarily throughout the novel.

A Private Life
