”Wisdom Betrayed” by Don Clifford is a compelling novel that delves into the backstories of the characters at the center of the biblical story of David and Bathsheba. The narrative utilizes biblical accounts, weaving them throughout the story to explore the hearts and minds of David, Bathsheba, and other significant figures involved in this historical account.

The book invites readers to uncover a fascinating mystery surrounding the familiar story, suggesting that there are hidden clues within less prominent biblical passages that wait to be interpreted and understood. It portrays the tumultuous events resulting from the decisions of King David, highlighting how these choices lead to tragedy for some characters while offering a path to redemption for others.

Additionally, the narrative hints at the relationships between characters, revealing that David was familiar with Bathsheba’s family before summoning her. Notably, Bathsheba’s grandfather, Ahithophel the Gilonite, served as David’s personal counselor, indicating a deeper connection that influences the unfolding drama.
