In a world filled with noise, worry, and relentless pressure, “I Affirm” by Monique Payne arrives as a soft but powerful counter-voice. This beautifully structured devotional affirmation book reminds readers that healing begins with the words we speak over our own lives. Each page serves as a spiritual reset — a call to declare peace, purpose, identity, and divine favor through intentional daily affirmations. The book is designed for anyone seeking emotional renewal, deeper faith, and a restored sense of self-worth.

Monique Seymour Payne, born and raised in Broward County, Florida, has always pursued her passions with dedication. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University in Atlanta, Georgia, and a master’s degree in education from the University of Phoenix. Monique is happily married to Calvin Payne Jr., and they are proud parents of two wonderful children: their son, Calvin Payne III, who is married to Brittany, and their daughter, Amber Hardin, who is married to Phil. They are blessed with one granddaughter and five grandsons who brings immense joy to their lives.

After a fulfilling career in teaching and administrative assistance, Monique retired, turning her focus to her lifelong passion for ministry. Her early involvement in outreach set the stage for her current endeavors. For the past 15 years, Monique has been a steadfast partner to her husband in their ministry, “Our Father’s Business,” which features an engaging online call series held every weekday at noon.Monique’s love for affirmations began to flourish during these calls.

I Affirm opens with powerful declarations focused on identity and divine connection. Readers are encouraged to embrace who they are in God’s eyes: loved, chosen, protected, and strengthened. These statements are intentionally written in the first-person — “I affirm… I receive… I walk in…” — allowing readers to claim each truth personally. The early chapters focus on emotional renewal, self-worth, and spiritual grounding, offering a foundation for the deeper affirmations that follow.

As the book progresses, the affirmations shift toward purpose, transformation, healing, and victory over adversity. Payne integrates encouragement for daily life — overcoming discouragement, releasing past pain, and walking boldly into new seasons. These sections are ideal for morning devotion, prayer journaling, meditation, or worship settings, as each page invites readers into alignment with God’s promises.

I Affirm is more than a devotional — it is a spiritual companion for anyone rebuilding confidence, seeking comfort, or learning to speak life over themselves again. Monique Payne has created a resource that readers can return to repeatedly, drawing fresh encouragement each time. It is a book that grows with you, gently guiding your spirit toward truth, peace, and renewal.

This book is a soulful declaration guide — a book that teaches you not just to repeat words, but to reshape your life through the power of spoken truth.
