Between those years, in 1966, he entered the United States Air Force, serving as a security policeman and rising to the rank of sergeant before receiving his honorable discharge in 1970. Beyond his professional and academic achievements, Stone enjoys collecting music, cooking, and writing poetry. Today, he resides in his hometown of Montgomery County, where his lifelong roots remain strong.
