At the same time, it is expanding the venues that allow readers and authors to interact, with an emphasis this year on the growing desire younger readers have to engage with literature. The book fair’s opening ceremony took place on 15 October 2024 under the motto “FBM24 is Read!ng—Read. We achieve this by informing them about important trends and topics, enabling their contact with important players in the respective markets, and, above all, helping them pave the way to innovative business models in the book and media industry. All year round. On an international scale.

We see the book fair as a platform to share our passion for good stories and to experience creativity that engages all the senses. It’s where the fans and friends of renowned authors can meet and enjoy close encounters with their idols. At the heart of it, Frankfurter Buchmesse is a crossroads where people and culture meet. Frankfurter Buchmesse stands for respect, diversity, and tolerance. We celebrate our wide range of different participants, whom we engage with at eye level in open dialogue.

This year, Frankfurter Buchmesse is once again demonstrating its indispensability as a venue for professional exchange in the global book industry, thanks to its fully booked Literary Agents & Scouts Centre (LitAg), the largest meeting place of its kind worldwide, as well as an expanded audio area and an increase in international stages and trade events, including high-ranking CEO talks.

The mission of Author Reputation Press is to foster literary connections between authors and readers. In line with this, ARP displayed several of its remarkable books at the largest book trade fair in the world. The book gallery was even more interesting because of the large variety of genres in the exhibition.

The book “Old Ways, New Hope” by Charles O. Wing explores the journey of discovery and personal growth through various experiences and travels. It reveals insightful findings that challenge contemporary perspectives and foster hope by revisiting traditional approaches.

“Old Ways, New Hope” offers readers a treasure trove containing some of history’s biggest secrets. These mysteries could disclose a defined purpose that leads to a life-changing adventure. The story follows a freelance translator who is called to an archaeological dig due to an unusual language. His travels take him all over the world, and after the loss of a close friend, he takes the lead in the search. He stumbles onto mankind’s greatest discovery, which takes him to the origins of man and a myriad of innovations. How he handles the discovery will lead him to new worlds and old ones. Then he has a variety of options for changing the world.

What impact do discoveries and inventions have on our lives and identities? Does the conventional way still have a place in the modern world? What benefit do our past experiences provide? From the history? From well-known origins? How do the old ways inspire new hope?

Author Charles O. Wing began learning the bagpipes and researching the culture’s stories and traditions. Music, whether Irish, Scottish, or Welsh, was his greatest motivation, and it allowed him to utilize his imagination to envision things from the past. Some were true, while others were pure fiction. Mr. Wing attempted to weave real-life events into his imagination in order to create realistic fiction. As a result, his writing motto has become “BELIEVE AND IT BECOMES REAL.”

Mr. Wing’s Scottish-born wife died eight years ago. His wife inspired him to continue writing in her honor. His outlook has been influenced by his wife’s culture. After his wife’s stepfather suffered a heart attack, they relocated to Canada for 15 years. Charles Wing helped his wife’s stepfather start a candy company, giving him expertise in selling products throughout the country. They returned to California after the stepfather died. He worked in nursing since then until he hurt his arm nerve. In his book, he uses and shares all of his experiences that helped him develop skills.

Ultimately, “Old Ways, New Hope” encourages readers to consider the value of traditional knowledge and practices in fostering a hopeful outlook in a rapidly changing environment, promoting the idea that looking back can provide insights for moving forward.
