— Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF)

ARPress has been actively participating in some of the world’s most prominent international book fairs, from the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and the London Book Fair to literary events in Frankfurt, Miami, Sharjah, Los Angeles, and beyond. We are excited to continue expanding our global presence through participation in international literary gatherings that bring together authors, publishers, educators, booksellers, and readers from around the world.

Our latest milestone is participation in the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF), one of the most influential publishing events in the global book industry. This continued presence creates valuable opportunities to introduce outstanding authors and their works to new audiences while fostering meaningful international partnerships within the publishing community.

The 32nd Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF), held from June 17 to 21, 2026, at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing, China, served as a dynamic platform for literary exchange, publishing innovation, and cross-cultural collaboration. As one of the largest book fairs in the world and the leading publishing event in Asia, BIBF continues to play a crucial role in connecting the international publishing community through copyright trading, translation initiatives, educational forums, and cultural programs.

This year’s event welcomed publishers, literary agents, authors, translators, booksellers, librarians, and publishing professionals from across the globe. The fair showcased hundreds of thousands of titles covering a wide range of genres and highlighted the growing influence of digital publishing, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and international rights cooperation in shaping the future of the publishing industry.

Looking ahead, BIBF continues to demonstrate how literature serves as a bridge between cultures, languages, and perspectives. As publishing evolves in response to technological advancements and changing reader expectations, international book fairs remain essential venues for collaboration, innovation, and the global exchange of ideas.

ARPress has had the privilege of working with talented authors from around the world. During the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair, a collection of remarkable ARPress titles was showcased before an international audience. It was a proud and meaningful opportunity for both the authors and the publisher to participate in an event dedicated to celebrating literature, education, creativity, and cultural understanding.

Among the featured titles was I Heal You with My Hands by Robert Ackerman.

Robert J. Ackerman is a Vietnam veteran whose life has been marked by leadership, public service, and community involvement. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served as Director of the Pennington County Drug and Alcohol Task Force, Director of the Meade Street Halfway House, Director of the Keystone Ambulance Service, Director of the Western South Dakota Referees Association, and Director of the West Dakota Water Development Association. In addition to these leadership roles, he volunteered as a firefighter in Rockerville, South Dakota, coached a championship-winning soccer team, contributed his time to charitable organizations, and spent decades researching climate change and environmental issues. His broad range of experiences has given him unique insights into society, human behavior, and the challenges facing communities and the world today.

In I Heal You with My Hands, Ackerman shares a deeply personal collection of reflections, observations, and life experiences gathered throughout decades of service, leadership, and learning. Drawing from his military service, professional accomplishments, community work, and research, the book offers readers a thoughtful examination of humanity, responsibility, resilience, and the future of the world. Through stories and insights gained from real-life experiences, Ackerman encourages readers to think critically about the direction of society while recognizing the importance of compassion, service, and personal accountability.

Published in April 2025, I Heal You with My Hands presents a powerful narrative shaped by decades of firsthand experiences. Spanning 417 pages, the book invites readers on a journey through the lessons the author has learned throughout his life while exploring broader themes of leadership, community engagement, environmental awareness, perseverance, and hope. Rather than focusing solely on personal achievements, Ackerman uses his experiences as a foundation for discussing issues that affect society as a whole and the role individuals can play in creating positive change.

The book serves as both a memoir and a reflection on the values that have guided the author’s life. Through honest storytelling and thoughtful commentary, Ackerman offers readers an opportunity to learn from a lifetime of experiences spanning military service, public administration, emergency services, youth mentorship, volunteerism, and environmental research. His message emphasizes the enduring importance of service to others and the impact that ordinary individuals can have within their communities.

As ARPress continues to showcase outstanding literary works on the international stage, I Heal You with My Hands stands as an inspiring example of how personal experiences can be transformed into meaningful lessons for readers. Its presentation at the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair provided global audiences with the opportunity to discover a compelling work that reflects a lifetime of dedication, service, leadership, and thoughtful reflection on the world around us.
