Daniel McLinden – born to World War II veterans, a Navy nurse and career Navy pilot, is the second of seven children who grew up all over the United States. The author has a BA in Spanish, MA in Spanish, and JD in law. He has practiced law as a civil trial lawyer for over thirty years, and now teaches a variety of law courses at two colleges in Los Angeles. He has lived and traveled in Mexico, and hitch-hiked through South America. When in his twenties he taught migrant workers English.
