Magdalena “Maggie” Curran is a freshman at a Virginia boarding school when her parents are killed in a car accident in Rome. With no family, Maggie must deal with the anxiety and night terrors that follow her tragic loss. Maggie learns to cope with the help of her best friend, Graham Ashford and Xanax. In her junior year, the school deems her stable enough to have a roommate, and her new friend Sarah quickly draws Maggie out of her shyness and into the dating world. While at Sarah’s house for thanksgiving, however, things take a turn for the worse. Can Maggie survive another tragedy and find true happiness?
